Document Properties Pane

In the Document Properties Pane, you can view or set default document properties for all documents to be processed in the current PhotoDocs session, or the properties of a selected document.

Note: Many of the items available in the Document Properties Pane, such as templates, fields, tags, and volumes, depend on the repository PhotoDocs is currently connected to. If your organization has more than one repository, changing repositories will change the available items to match those in the currently selected repository.

Default document properties appear when no document is selected in the Workspace. These properties will apply to all new documents created in the Workspace, unless the individual properties for the document are modified. You can use tokens to specify types of information to be filled in that will be specific to each document (such as the time taken or the first line of text). Changes made to the default document properties in the Document Properties Pane will affect documents created from that point forward, but will not affect documents already in the Workspace.

The default document properties that appear each time PhotoDocs is opened are configured in the Document Properties node of the Options dialog box. You can specify metadata options such as how the default name and folder for the documents will be created, as well as other data specific to the document type. Changes made in the Document Properties options will take effect after you reopen PhotoDocs.

Document Properties

When you select a document in the Workspace, the Document Properties Pane will display the properties for that particular document. You can modify the data to suit that document. Click View default document properties under Document Options to view the default properties for all documents rather than the selected one. The following items can be modified for either the default document properties or for an individual document.
